Climate KIC Summer School the Journey for Aegean University

Dear Department of Environmental Studies,

I would like to forward on an opportunity relating to my current job at Climate KIC, that could be interesting for Aegean University Students (Master and PhD level). In the past years we had many excellent students from Aegean University and we were impressed by their qualities and knowledge. This opportunity might be of interest for other of your current students and alumni.

It is a European Climate Innovation & Entrepreneurship Summer School 'The Journey', which runs through various locations in Europe during July and August. It is free of charge for students enrolled at a European university (Climate-KIC is an initiative of the European Commission). Applications are open until mid-February via our website.

I’ve pasted some further information below, and have attached some materials. It would be great if you were able to spread the word to potential applicants – we welcome participants from all disciplines, if they can show a strong interest in addressing climate change, and an entrepreneurial & innovative spirit.

'The Journey' is a climate innovation summer school. It brings together students and professionals from all over the world.

From validating an idea to understanding the market, structuring a business, and building a team, Climate-KIC gears participants up for the world of climate entrepreneurship. The Journey provides the tools to make an impact on the global effort to find solutions to climate change, and supports participants in the quest to become an sustainable entrepreneur.

The Journey summer school offers climate change knowledge combined with entrepreneurship skills, allowing participants to create - together with people from a wide range of backgrounds - a business model which will help our environment.

Applicants can choose between a 3-week and a 5-week programme.
