Batumi State Maritime Academy invites you to participate in the International Scientific Conference, which will be held on June 26-27, 2025, in celebration of the 15th anniversary of the International Day of the Seafarer.
The main theme of the conference is:
"Our Ocean – Our Obligation – Our Opportunity."
The conference aims to accept research papers covering a broad spectrum of issues related to the maritime sector, including:
• Maritime safety and risk management
• Control of marine and coastal pollution, green technologies in the maritime industry
• Crew training, certification, and management
• Integration of artificial intelligence and innovative technologies in maritime transport and education
• Logistics and management of transportation processes
• Economic and social impact of the maritime industry, blue economy
• Port and terminal efficiency
• Maritime law and policy
• Marine research (water resources, oceanography, biodiversity)
• Other topics related to the maritime sector
The conference will be held in a hybrid format, offering both in-person sessions and online participation via the ZOOMplatform.
The detailed agenda of the conference will be finalized by the organizing committee after receiving the abstracts and completing speaker registration.
This international and open-access conference welcomes researchers and students from Georgia and other countries, provided their research aligns with the priorities set by the Maritime Academy.
The working languages of the conference are Georgian and English, based on the presenter's preference.
Each presentation will be allocated 15 minutes, followed by a 3-5 minute Q&A session.

• May 30 – Deadline for speaker registration (submission of abstracts)
• June 6 – Publication of the conference agenda
• June 26-27 – Conference working days
Registration for Presenters:
Speaker registration will be conducted online through the conference registration form.
During registration, participants must submit:
• Title of the research paper
• Abstract
• Information about the presenter
All presentations must be delivered using PowerPoint (PPT) or PDF format.
Speakers and co-authors will receive a certificate of participation in the conference.
