We are pleased to inform you that following the success of last year’s first Innovamare Academy – an international workshop on the blue economy – we will be hosting it again this year.

The Innovamare Academy is established as part of the strategic Innovamare project funded by the Italy-Croatia cross-border cooperation program. More information about the first Academy is available at https://mairos.org/our-services/skills-and-training/

Participants in the Academy will gain valuable knowledge, competencies, and skills in the areas of digital and green transformation of the blue economy and the use of maritime technologies. Topics covered will include ocean conservation, sustainable fishing practices, ocean renewable energy, sustainable tourism development in coastal areas, marine biology, oceanography and environmental science, autonomous and unmanned surface vehicles, underwater gliders, ocean energy, maritime robotics, and much more.

This year, the Academy will be held from October 14 to 19 in Šibenik, Croatia, at the Polytechnic of Šibenik. It will be organized as a five-day educational workshop focusing on the digital and green transformation of the blue economy and the application of maritime technologies, with an emphasis on robotics and sensors in cooperation with the Interreg project MareSkill.
During the six days, experienced lecturers will conduct over 20 hours of lectures in English.
Free accommodation (bed and breakfast) will be provided for participants coming from outside Šibenik, with lunch organized after lectures at the Polytechnic where the lectures will also be held. Upon completion of the Academy, students will be awarded certificates of completion.

Additional Information:
• Participation in the workshops is free of charge.
• Participants are responsible for their travel expenses to Šibenik.
• Application does not guarantee participation in the Academy.
• The number of spots is limited, and participants will be selected based on the motivation and experience described in their application.
• Partial attendance is not allowed; registered participants must attend all workshops.
• All applicants will be contacted by September 15, 2024, at the latest.
We would like to emphasize that besides acquiring valuable knowledge, participation in the Academy will be an exceptional opportunity for all participants to exchange experiences and network in the relaxed and pleasant environment offered by the beautiful city of Šibenik.
